ONE, TWO, THREE. Three unlikely contenders emerged in the battle for SFP’s top spot.
Jaime in first, Brett and Elaine tied for second. Jaime, in a fit of uncommon prescience, picked all of the first 8 games perfectly. When asked how she had managed this amazing feat, she said, “Compared to the nasty sick kids I had to deal with last week, being a perfect picker was a snap.”
Elaine also commented, “I’ve learned from all my mistakes over the last few years. This year I decided to actually pick the winners.”
Brett, when asked about his place in the standings, put his fingers in his ears, looked away, and said, “blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.” This reporter took that to mean, “don’t mess with my mojo.”
On the other end of the standings spectrum, Will “The Wizard” Webster, with the unpropitious picking paucity producing 2 perfect picks, ventured a riposte of pertinacious principles of past pickings.
